About Rapid Emergency Deployment Teams

The teams are organized to provide support to agencies and other emergency radio communications organizations.  These teams are made up of committed EmComm workers that are willing to train and deploy when needed.   It is recognized that all members will not be available for every callout and members will be able to list themselves as "available" and "unavailable" at given times.  Local events may require only one day or less deployment.  When called to distant areas of the state, the deployment may require several days.  Some members may not be able to commit to these longer deployments and that is understood.

Some teams may be supported by well equipped communications trailers.  Other teams may respond in personal owned vehicles.  Either group is of great value when a communications crisis has developed.

We are not recording lists of equipment owned by RED Team members.   These type lists are not part of the registration form.  The reason is that the resources most needed is the radio operators themselves.   No one consults equipment list to make a decision about who to call when there is a crisis.

The only information recorded on the password protected part of the website is contact information, call sign and the license class of the person.  Training and other qualifications are poled on the registration form but this is not recorded on the website but is held by the team leader.
