This photo is of (from Left to right) Charlie Mays, WD8TLP, Dennis Alford KC4UGA, .Rene' Castillo, WU4D and Joey Eversole, N3EQL. These A.R.E.S. (Amateur Radio Emergency Service ) members from Wythe County Virginia, assisted the Twin County A.R.E.S. (Carroll, Grayson and the City of Galax) in their Simulated Emergency Test . This group covered the communications ECCOM center at the Rugby Rescue Squad building and provided communications and manned a search team that looked for a group of "lost hikers" in this exercise. These "hikers" were located by using radio direction finding techniques.
