The purpose of this exercise is to equip new emergency communicators with basic skills that would be needed to operate in both a Skywarn, rescue and recovery operation in an emergency situation where most or all normal communications has been disrupted. The drill will also be used to continue to hone the skills of more experienced operators. It will utilize different modes and multiple nets to accomplish the support of Skywarn, rescue and recovery efforts. On voice we will use HF and local FM repeaters. On digital we will use primarily the Winlink system both on VHF/UHF and HF.
